Welcome to the WBCAA
WBCAA supports and promotes cultural activities in Williams Bay through community partnerships.
The Williams Bay Cultural Arts Alliance is a newly forming 501 c 3 organization dedicating to providing cultural avenues for the residents and visitors to the Bay. With scenic and peaceful natural beauty, the Lake Geneva area has long been a home to many talented artists, writers, and musicians and has a rich history connected to the local population, European immigrants and Chicago transplants. At WBCAA we believe that culture represents and supports a sense of community, that it gives meaning and enhances our daily lives.
PROGRAMS: The WBCAA currently supports and coordinates several programs and has an eye towards creating more in the future.
Williams Bay Fine Art & Fine Craft Fest (formerly Art in the Bay)
This juried art show will be in its 43rd year of operation this year and is the oldest and longest running art show in Walworth County. Each year this event brings several thousands of visitors to the quiet hamlet of Williams Bay to view and have the opportunity to purchase world class, local fine art, and fine crafts. This program is chaired by Marijo Petullo. Interested artists can click on the Williams Bay Fine Art & Fine Craft tab to download an application. For more information on this program, please contact Marijo Petullo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Eyes Have It
The Eyes Have It is an amateur art contest. The theme of this contest is what the inner eye or mind sees within. The First Place winner receives a cash prize of $250, and a Runner’s Up Winner receives a cash prize of $150. For more information on this program, please contact Sandy Johnson at (262) 686-8016.
The Williams Bay Community Choir
The WBCC gave its inaugural performance at the Art Fest, 2018 singing two great medleys. This start-up choir is looking for all voice types to perform both classical and contemporary works for the public. If you are interested in joining the Community Choir or booking us for a special event, please contact Sandy Johnson at 262-686-8016. The WBCC is co-directed by Sara Johnson and Sandra Johnson.
Art Walk in the Bay
This program takes place in November and December. Participating businesses host visiting artists and open their doors on Friday evenings for holiday shopping and special holiday treats. The Williams Bay Community Choir lends a festive, old-town air with caroling in the shops and around town, dressed in traditional Dicken’s style, of course. Janis Anton Chairs this program.
